Which model do you have? DX, GX, HX, etc. Most are the same but I just want to make sure. Below is a wiring diagram that shows how the pump works. You actually have two relays that feed the pump. So if the pump is not turning on the we need to check for power on terminal 5 of relay 2. If you have no power there, then we need to check relay 1. Take a look at the info attached and we can go from there. Thanks Images (Click to enlarge) SPONSORED LINKS Was this answer helpful? Yes No +1 Friday, October 23rd, 2020 AT 2:35 PM

Asked by missfitt33 May 07, 2018 at 02:27 PM about the 2001 Honda Civic LX Question type: Maintenance & Repair replaced fuel filter and pump, you can hear the pump kick on but wont pump 10 AnswersIf fuel is not reaching the engine, in cases like this I replace the in line fuel filter first, the problem have been caused, in most instances, by a clogged fuel filter. 1 people found this helpful.
fuel filter is new, we pulled the line on the top the goes to the engine and no gas is coming up but pump turns on 1 people found this helpful. Check the line that goes to the filter, coming from the fuel tank, if no fuel is flowing, then the problem is at the source, the fuel pump. I had that situation a few times, although the pump gave a sound as it was running, actually it had lost pressure. It will be necessary to check the fuel pump. 3 people found this helpful.
new pump and i checked to make sure everything was hooked up right, could one of the line attached to the pump get clogged. and how do you gain the pressure back 7 people found this helpful. Yes, I have seen fuel lines get clogged by dirt from the fuel tank. Ryan is correct in thinking that the wires on the pump may have been installed backwards, even though you think it was hooked up right; double check. 1 people found this helpful.
ok so i checked all iline on the fuel filter. every thing is good, nothing clogged. i can even suck gas out through the line on top of pump. any other thoughts Did you check to make sure that the wires in the pump were installed correctly, that the pump is not running backwards like Ryan says?
