Location of oil pressure sensor?
23239 13
2000 TJ 4.0l 3spd auto. Went wheeling last night and noticed this morning when I start the jeep the gauge goes straight to 80 and doesn't move at all, acceleration or deceleration, nothing. Hoping it's just the sensor? Can anyone point me in the direction of where it is? I saw a few pics online but doesn't seem like I can locate it. Also, any other culprits this may be?

It's next to the oil filter, it has a wiring harness connected to it. Joined

No, that is the camshaft position sensor. Give me a minute or two and I'll post a photo of the oil pressure sender...

One important note... don't waste your time or $$$ installing an aftermarket oil pressure sender from places like Autozone... they commonly have problems and are often junk. It took 3 from Autozone one Sunday before I got one for my son's car that worked properly. Get a Mopar sender from either the dealer's parts department or with a discount from

do I have to drain the oil to change this? No, at most a few drops of oil will come out. Spread a newspaper underneath which will be plenty.
