Does anyone know why ram does not sell the passenger side stub shaft for the differential? And why make the drivers side stub shaft serviceable/(able to buy a brand new driver side stub shaft from Mopar) but make full differential rebuild to even access the passenger side stub shaft?

Not sure why but there is a solution. Rick Rood's Transmission 1-902-538-1052 makes the part. He's in Novia Scotia, Canada so US customers will experience a delay while the part clears customs.
In the US you can try Blatner's Auto (716) 213-0466. He is located in North Tonawanda, NY. Ask for Robb. He bought the part for my truck from Rick Rood's Transmission (listed above) and installed it at the end of December 2019. He is/was looking to distribute the item to US customers. You can call to see if he has any in stock.

Thank you for the link. Sadly I needed the truck and had to order a new differential assembly, but there are several other rams in my town that have the same problem and i will make sure they know of this solution.

How long does it take to rebuild a front differential?

On average, you can expect your mechanic to complete this repair in three to six hours, depending on your vehicle. Your front differential is unlikely to need replacing except in older cars or when damage has occurred that causes it to leak or wear down more rapidly.

Is it hard to rebuild a differential?

A complete rear differential replacement includes replacing the housing, gears, bearings, and seals. The average time it takes a certified mechanic to perform a differential rebuild at a shop is usually three to five hours. A rebuild on a commercial vehicle by someone without prior experience could take much longer.
