When dealing with a credit union, there should be a relatively easy way to contact the president of the board of directors to notify that individual of particularly bad policy decisions and other pertinent topics. The administrative assistant for the Alaska USA CEO informed me that I can contact the board president by using a generic email address. IF Alaska USA top-level management decides to forward my concerns to the board, the email will be forwarded to the chairman of the board (who appears to live in Kentucky). If top-level management decides against forwarding the email, then the email will not be forwarded.
My recent complaints, reported to lower-level management, are: 1) extremely long lines and wait times at Anchorage branch offices (manager states that they allow 19 people to wait in line for assistance at three teller stations), 2) the closure of "banking" options at two area Fred Meyer department stores in Anchorage causing members to overwhelm branch offices located nearby, 3) failure of Alaska USA to observe Anchorage pandemic requirements at two branch offices, and 4) unwillingness to assist my tenant, who experiences disabilities, as he attempts to make rent deposits monthly.
In response, vice-president Heather Youngblood advised me that "Alaska USA is going in a different direction. You should consider taking your business elsewhere." As this would require me to refinance my VA home loan, she declined to offer financial assistance for the refinance and transfer to a different mortgage loan company in order for me to comply with her suggestions.
Alaska USA has certainly gone "down hill" since when I first joined.
