Welcome to The Abbey Farmstead Bed & Breakfast, founded by Tyler and Hope Abbey, which came into existence in august of 2017.

The 1930's house of the late Jimmy Johnson was purchased, moved and renovated to ensure the highest quality of hospitality is offered to those that venture out into the piney woods of Southeast Texas.

Experience the country life away from the hustle and bustle of the big city while sitting in the rockers on the large spacious porch enjoying the sounds of the rain hitting the old tin roof with the views of the family pond and various furry creatures.

Centrally located between Livingston and Woodville, The Abbey Farmstead offers the perfect lodging for your piney woods adventure. Our accommodations provide you with many amenities that will leave you wanting to return in the near future.

"We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this for a weekend getaway! The area is clean and well-kept. Sandy is definitely a great 'host' and Jasper is a wonderful pet!! We stayed in the RV/Trailer and we were surprised at how comfortable and roomy it was. Boating in the lake was serene and it was nice to hear all the birds and wildlife around us! Old Livingston is 10 minutes up the road with great antique shopping (Downtown Treasures, Consignment Mall, etc.) and we took Sandy's advice and stopped in at the Courthouse Whistle Stop cafe for breakfast - yum yum yummy! We look forward to staying again soon!"

Picked up breakfast at a fast food place and drove over to the park. Nice location, right on the little lake, or is it a pond? Fun to watch the geese with their goslings and the ducks fussing over territory. But eh trash needs to be picked up, it was after the trades day weekend and the barrels at the tables were full, and the concrete pads really should have been washed down since they were covered in poo from geese and ducks and written all over with chalk. Since there are water spigots at almost every table area, this really should have been a "no brainer" for city parks services.
