Does a Bella coffee maker need a filter?

Its smaller footprint also makes it easier to store in a cabinet or pantry. With this coffee maker, you'll never need disposal paper filters. The permanent filter has a removable brew basket that collects the used coffee grounds, so you can toss them in the garbage.

How do I know what size coffee filter to buy?

Most automatic drip coffee machines recommend a specific filter size depending on the amount of coffee being brewed. Brewing 2-6 cups requires a No. 2 filter, 8-10 cups requires a No. 4 filter, and brewing more than 10 cups requires a No.

Does it matter what coffee filter you use?

The type of filtration will affect the final taste of the brewed coffee. Filters that are made of absorbent fibers, like cloth or paper filters, will soak up more of the coffee oils, and remove some of the flavor.
