Things To Know Before Canceling Your Verizon Plan
Before making the call and getting into the nitty-gritty, there are a few tips to keep in mind that'll help the cancellation process go as smoothly as can be. For starters, only the account owner or a designated account manager is allowed to make a cancellation request. Anyone else on the plan won't be allowed to do so, so be sure the right person makes the call. For people that have a phone under a payment plan through Verizon, any remaining balance will become due "on your next bill after disconnecting." Verizon will port people's numbers over to just about any other carrier, but the steps for which this is done varies from company to company.
