Changing the Existing Programming Code on Your Tru-Bolt Electronic DeadboltYour Tru-Bolt Electronic Lock comes with a default Programming Code—123456. This code is the master password of the lock, and it is required for all programming functions. What this means is you can’t make programming changes in your lock without entering this code. And you’ll need to change the code to ensure that no one else can change your lock programming unauthorized. More so, if you’ve previously changed the Programming Code and want to change it again for any reason, you can easily do so, as there is no limit to how many times you can change the Programming Code. That said, follow the steps below to change the existing Programming Code on your Tru-Bolt Electronic Lock:
Note: The Unlock button is the button with the opened padlock icon. Adding User CodesA User Code for this lock is a 4 to 8-digit number that allows you to unlock the deadbolt via the keypad. That is, you can enter a User Code through the keypad to open the door. The Lock allows you to add up to 50 User Codes, and each code must be linked to a User ID (any number between 01 to 50). Note that the lock comes with a default User Code (1234), linked to a User ID (01). So your User IDs should start from 02. However, the default User Code (1234) will be deleted automatically after creating your first User Code, so you can add another code and link it to 01 (User ID) later on. Here’s how to add a User Code on Your Tru-Bolt Electronic Deadbolt:
Note: Each User Code must be 4 to 8-digit long and 2 digits (01 to 50) for each User ID. Deleting Existing User CodesThe lock allows you to delete a single User Code or delete all the User Codes you created at once. If you want to delete a single User Code, here’s how:
And here is how to delete all User Codes at once:
Note: This action will delete all existing User Codes but not Programming Code. Enabling/Disabling Auto-LockWith auto-lock enabled, the lock will lock automatically after a few seconds when the door closes. This helps to ensure that your door is always locked, even when you forget to lock it. Follow the steps below to enable auto-lock in your Tru-Bolt Electronic Lock:
To disable auto-lock, repeat the steps above but set the delay time to 00. Enabling/Disabling Vacation ModePutting your Tru-Bolt lock on Vacation Mode will temporarily disable all User Codes until you disable it. So when Vacation Mode is in effect, no one can unlock the lock through the keypad. Here’s how to enable Vacation Mode:
And that’s all you need to do to enable Vacation Mode. To disable Vacation Mode, press the hold Unlock button for over 3 seconds. Next, release the Unlock button and then enter your Programming Code. This will unlock the door and disable Vacation Mode. Factory Resetting Your Tru-Bolt LockYou can perform a factory reset on your Tru-Bolt Keyless Lock if you’ve forgotten the Programming Code or have minor issues with it. But keep in mind that this action will permanently erase all your custom programming, so you’ll have to start all over again to program the lock. If you’ve decided to perform a factory reset on your Tru-Bolt Electronic Deadbolt, here’s how to do that:
