The artist to this song, Nimo Happy, had in fact sang this now worldwide trending song four years ago and had very little views up until the past few weeks when all that had changed.
The song now has a whopping over 200 million views on YouTube alone and counting, with many tik tok videos posted of the song.
International award winning musicians are also now joining the trend with rumours that Jason De’rulo is looking to go the extra mile and collaborate in a remix with the song.
The song alone now has nearly 80,000 videos posted in Tiktok and is all over YouTube, Instagram, facebook and all the social media platforms.
Nimo uses in her lyrics three different languages; Somali, Arabic and Swahili, which is really popular in Africa, and by combining these languages into one song in a very creative way, it has earned her worldwide fame.
Somali music is renowned for its artistic and poetic lyrics in the songs if listened closely and many say this will now open the doors for Somali artists at the international scene.

If you've been anywhere near TikTok, Twitter or Instagram in the past few weeks (and when are you not?) then you'll know all about multilingual love song ‘Isii Nafta (Love You More Than My Life).' The catchy tune by Somali artist Nimco Happy has been spreading like wildfire ever since footage from one of her performances was discovered on TikTok and honestly, life hasn't been the same since.
No matter where we go or what we do, we find ourselves humming along to the viral track - which incorporates lyrics in Somali, Arabic, Swahili and English - or simply blurting out the words “I love you more than my life” to anyone who'll listen. We'll even go as far as saying it could be the best song we've ever heard, and some of our favourite celebrities agree. Everyone from Bella Hadid to Cardi B and Drake have been equally obsessed with the song, which was recently given an official release by Universal's Polydor Records.
On Thursday night, Cardi and her sister Hennessy Carolina joined the plethora of TikTok users who've recorded themselves dancing to the song. The post was liked by all of her famous friends including Kylie Jenner and SZA, who no doubt have also had the song living in their heads rent free lately.
A few days prior, Bella Hadid posted a clip of the original footage from Nimco Happy's performance (which has amassed millions of views over the last couple of weeks ) on her Instagram feed, while her pal Justine Skye also recorded a TikTok video lip syncing to the song
Meanwhile, Drake has also co-signed the popular song, commenting “This song so hard” under a post shared by Canadian meme page @realtorontonews. It's safe to say ‘I love you more than my life’ is a universal hit.
The song has even been given several remixes, with savvy internet producers creating everything from a hilarious drill version of ‘Isii Nafta (Love You More Than My Life)' to an Amapiano mix that actually fits pretty seamlessly.
Nimco Happy, who is based in Xamar, Somalia and is a relatively well-known artist within Somali communities in East Africa, was only recently informed of the viral success of her song and accompanying performance. After signing a deal with Universal for the song's official release, she recorded a video thanking people around the world for their support.
