  • Why do you disconnect the sway bar on a Jeep?

If you're driving on uneven ground, it's important to maintain traction. When you disconnect the sway bar, you'll put less pressure on the wheel axles, and achieve softer suspension. With more axle control, you can tackle large obstacles, and boost your ramp travel index.

Are sway bar disconnects worth it?

Sway bar disconnects are one of the best value for the dollar mods we have done. They cost very little and they gain you so much. You can achieve the same basic effect by unbolting the sway bar links each time, but that is something of a pain in the butt.

What year Jeeps have sway bar disconnect?

Simple answer to your question is 2007, with the launch of the JK generation.
