What is My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission?

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission is the latest movie from the My Hero Academia franchise. The story takes place around the end of season 5 of the My Hero Academia anime.

The movie focuses on the Endeavor Agency arc of the manga. Midoriya and his friends join the Pro Heroes around the globe to stop a terrorist attack with the goal of ending humanity.

The movie was a success as it grossed a total of $47.03 million worldwide, making it the 10th highest-grossing domestic film in Japan for 2021.

Will My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission Be On Crunchyroll?

Crunchyroll has not confirmed if it will add My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission to its platform. However, the chance this is happening is high considering that the platform offers two My Hero Academia films already: My Hero Academia: Heroes' Risingand My Hero Academia: Two Heroes.

What has been confirmed as of this writing is that My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is part of Crunchyroll's August 2022 Home Video Releases.

Given that Crunchyroll is involved in the movie's physical release, a future appearance on the streaming platform has to be considered likely.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission Crunchyroll Release Date

As of this writing, there is still no information on when the movie will be released on Crunchyroll. But for those who are interested in the Blu-Ray/DVD, it will be available from late August 2022.

Aside from the upcoming Blu-Ray/DVD, anime fans are looking forward to season 6 of My Hero Academia. Will Deku surpass All Might? Viewers will have to watch My Hero Academia to find out!

Funimation has posted the first English-dubbed trailer for the long-awaited My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising anime feature film featuring Nine, Slice, Katsuma and Deku, among other fan favorite characters. Funimation describes the film:

Class 1-A visits Nabu Island where they finally get to do some real hero work. The place is so peaceful that it’s more like a vacation … until they’re attacked by a villain with an unfathomable Quirk! His power is eerily familiar, and it looks like Shigaraki had a hand in the plan. But with All Might retired and citizens’ lives on the line, there’s no time for questions. Deku and his friends are the next generation of heroes, and they’re the island’s only hope.

The film will be released theatrically on February 26th in a limited engagement and the trailer is embedded below.

Tickets for the film are now on sale and the film will have its Hollywood premiere later this week. Will you be going to see the film?

Following up on the initial announcement that Funimation will be bringing the second My Hero Academiamovie to theaters in North America this year, we now know when to expect it. Clifford Chapin, the English dub voice behind the explosive Katsuki Bakugo, recently broke the news in a video announcement on Twitter, lining My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising up for a February 26 opening.  

Advance tickets will go on sale starting January 31.
