Some double wides have 2 bedrooms, but most are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. We’ve seen as many as 5 bedrooms and 3 baths in a double wide home. You could, in theory, custom design it and have as many as you wanted, within the size limitations.

What is the range of square footage available?

The smallest double wides that we offer are around 1200 square feet, and the largest comes in at 2280 square feet.

What kind of options or customization is available?

There is total flexibility with customization, just like with our modular homes. We can move walls, stretch the house, flip the floorplan, and more. Tell us what you’re wanting and we can let you know if it’s available.

You have the options of adding rooms, removing rooms, and have your choice of all kinds of options for your bathrooms, kitchen and cabinets, entertainment centers, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and ceramic showers. We can bump the walls up to 9-foot walls, or include steeper roof pitches.

As far as the outside of the home, we can add decks, porches, patios, garages, pole barns, and additions like sunrooms or 3 season rooms. We can also construct basements, crawl spaces, or slabs if you want your home on one of these.

COVID Safety Measures

We have added signs on the doors of each home to limit our demo models to one family at a time. When inside the home, we also ask that each guest leaves the door open so others know you are in there, and to ensure proper ventilation. We also limit the number of people in our office and have enhanced cleaning measures around the model homes as well. Another new addition is our plastic shields on the salespeople’s desks to ensure added space while getting your questions answered. We also ask that our employees and everyone visiting us to wear a mask and follow social distancing measures.

Are display walkthroughs by appointment only?

Walk-in visits are fine, and you can come anytime our models are open during business hours. We encourage setting up appointments so we can schedule a salesperson to meet with you one on one, but you can come in anytime we’re open.

What is the timeline between contact, decision-making, purchase, transportation, and move in?

If the home is going into a park, and you order today, you can expect to move in around 4 months from now. It will take a few weeks to set up, and you can move into the home in as little as 3 weeks from the time it arrives at the park.

If the home is going on private property, you can expect to move in around 3 months from delivery. It generally took around 6-8 weeks pre-Covid, but with delays due to the virus, it takes around 3 months now. Some aspects of the house take longer to set up on private property than they do at a park.
