If you've been blocked on Snapchat by someone, their account won't show up when you search for it.
Why does a Snapchat name appear when I search them but doesn't allow me to add them?Try searching for the username and if you can't find anyone with the username, it's because you might have been blocked. If you have been blocked very recently, you might even see the username but when you tap the add button, you will get a message saying “Sorry! Couldn't find username”.
When someone blocks you on Snapchat does their name go away?If the name does not appear, then that means that you have been blocked or that they have left Snapchat entirely. If you do see their name, tap the plus sign next to it. You may see a message that says, “Sorry, couldn't find that username.” This is not normal and could be another indication that they blocked you.
Why can I still Snapchat someone who blocked me?Unlike other social platforms, blocking someone won't completely delete all traces of the profile or their messages. While the person who blocked you will no longer be able to see previous chats, you may still see all the messages and snaps shared on the Chats screen.
