Basic Science is often fundamental or bench of research. Science provides the foundation of knowledge for applied science that follows. This type of research encompasses familiar scientific disciplines such as biochemistry, microbiology, and physiology, and their interplay. These classes may involve laboratory studies with cell cultures, human studies or physiological experiments. Basic science also increasingly extends to behavioral and social sciences as well, which have no less profound relevance for medicine and health.

This research guide is a support tool for locating and finding information pertaining to Basic Sciences & Biological Science courses.
