Used Chinook RV Models

From the classic Concourse and Baja models to the state-of-the-art Premier Cascade and Glacier RVs, Chinook is well-known and widely-respected for designing some of the most luxurious motorhomes and campervans in America. Many popular models, made decades ago, are still commonly seen on the road today – proving they can stand the test of time.

Concourse

The Chinook Concourse is a classic American motorhome that has been around for decades. It’s reliability, functionality and luxury put this travel vehicle way ahead of its time, which why it’s still one of the most popular motorhomes on the road today. The Concourse comes in three floorplan options: Dinette, Club Lounge and Twin Beds.

Premier

In 1994, amidst an economic recession, Chinook introduced the minimalistic Premier, a scaled-down motorhome with lesser features in the cabinetry work, a smaller refrigerator, two-burner stove and squared off standard windows. Built with a fiberglass shell design, the Premier comes in many models – XL, LT, LT Diesel, LT V8 & LT V10.

Cascade

The classic Chinook Cascade is modeled after the Destiny class B – a “stretched” version of the Concourse – and boasts some of the low cost features on the Premier (including squared windows). The Cascade is one of Chinook’s most affordable motorhomes and has a fiberglass shell. Available models include the Cascade LE (2002-2004) and LT (2005-2006).

Glacier

The Glacier RV is Chinook’s introduction into the competitive class C motorhome market. This luxury coach has been reimagined by the innovative manufacturer, and its new design has yet to be released. Conversion Vans

“If you’re in the market for an RV, van conversions and/or rampvans this is the place. Helped a disabled friend purchase a rampvan from Jonathan and we were pleased with the variety that was displayed and the selection that we made. Would definitely do business with them again if the opportunity arises. I would also recommend this place to family and friends.”

A Legend is Born: Brief History of Chinook Motorhomes

The legendary manufacturer traces its roots back to 1938 in a garage in Orange County, California. By the 1950s and 60s, the first mass-produced Chinook class C motorhomes began appearing on the road, originally constructed on truck chassis.

Throughout the next few decades, Chinook Mobilodge Company became the premier innovator of class A, B and C RVs, producing popular models such as the Custom Camp Coach, Chinook 18 Plus motorhome and the Chinook 2200 and 2500 Vista/Brougham – the company’s first fully self-contained class A motorhome.

In 2005, the Chinook legend finally came to a close due to the Great Recession after decades of revolutionizing the RV experience. However, the storied brand was acquired in 2013 and has recently begun to produce new Chinook RVs models like the Countryside and Bayside.

What years did Toyota make the Chinook?

As per various reports, there were about 50,000 of these unique "house-on-wheel" trucks produced between 1972 and 1994, Toyota being the chief producer.

Who bought Chinook RV?

Phil Rizzio, the owner of several large U.S. dealerships, purchased most everything from Lukehart and took over the process of resurrecting the brand in 2013. After three years of hard work and dedication, the Chinook RV legacy was reborn.

Do they still make chinooks?

For more than 50 years, Chinooks have served as the Army's heavy lift helicopter, ferrying troops and equipment around the world. Made by the Boeing Company, the CH-47s have been upgraded over the years and are expected to remain in service with the Army through the 2060s.

What is smaller than a Class C RV?

Class B motorhomes are the smallest motorhome type. They are also known as van campers and look like an oversized family van on the road.
