Getting a prescription without a doctor or doctor’s visit can be done through Telehealth prescribing, provider-patient relationship, and telemedicine prescribing. These methods have specific legal requirements to be met in each state, especially when prescribing controlled substances.

However, what can also be stressful is that many patients continuously complain that they need to wait for at least a week or more to see their doctors and for them to get a prescription.
