The car is running rough and worst with the AC on. A friend plugged in his diagnose computer and cleared all old codes. He then unplugged the crankshaft sensors both front and rear one by the crack shaft cover where they are located and car did not should any different the idle was the same it should have sounded worst and idled much more poorly then it was already, and check engine light would not turn on the computer read no faults. A code should had been displayed and check engine light should have turn on when disconnected. Why is this? Could this be the problem my car is running terrible? Show SPONSORED LINKS Do you have the same problem? Yes No Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 AT 7:35 PM The codes you have indicate a missfire in number 4 cylinder and the 1320 is a coil code. Forget about the sensors. Start with plugs and coils. Make sure it has compression. The 325 is a ghost code and will go away when the others are fixed Roy SPONSORED LINKS Friday, August 24th, 2012 AT 4:22 PM P0304 = Misfiring of cylinder # 4. Join Date: Mar 2003 Posts: 104 The reason I say I need the REAR is because I just replaced the REF Crank Sensor less than a year ago, so I assume that it must be the other one since Crank Sensor came up during a scan. Here is a pic of the sensor, it is refered as REAR? Is this the same as POS?

That's definitely the rear crank sensor. The long tip will read the 360 timing gear teeth on the flywheel. Connector is downward, as I recall... It's an easy swap. Last edited by grey99max; 10-16-2007 at 09:23 AM. Senior Member Thread Starter

It's sandwiched betwen the engine and transmission bellhousing. If you know where the O2 sesnor is in that area, it's really close. I will see if I can get a pic later. Senior Member Thread Starter

Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Middleboro/Carver, Ma Posts: 4,572 So you're replacing it because you got a code for it? That's a great idea! because the sensor can't be tested, and a bad sensor is the only reason that code will come up. Oh and there are two different codes for the two different crank sensors. EDIT: The flywheel has a second set of teeth just for timing/position sensor. Last edited by cdoublejj; 09-03-2018 at 02:06 PM. Member
