Q: Why is Start/Stop not working?

The computer knows the batterys most important job is ensuring the engine starts. So it disables the stop-start in case the battery is drained so much the engine wont re-start.

Q: What does it mean to service stop/start system?

Stop/Start Technology† automatically stops and starts the vehicles engine under certain conditions. By turning off the engine when not needed, Stop/Start Technology can help improve fuel efficiency, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions (compared to the same vehicle with Stop/Start Technology not in use).

Great Product

Installation was a breeze, less than 10 minutes. It works awesome. I wish I knew about this years ago.

Start/Stop Eliminator-great price, easy to install

I was very impressed with 4DTech's YouTube video on how easy it was to install this start/stop eliminator on my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I found it to be a great price, installed it pretty quickly, and it has worked like a champ ever since.

Shot these folks my vin, got my product ordered and delivered in just a couple days. I installed today, 5 min and it looks to work as intended. Haven’t hit the road in it yet, but auto stop was disabled almost immediately after starting my jeep up. Seems to be a great mod, looking forward to testing it later tonight on the road.

Stupid Start/Stop system

Anyone have any repetitive issues with their start/stop idiot light coming on? My wife's 2017 Cherokee started doing it months ago here & there, then one day the damn Jeep wouldn't start. Turned out to be a dead battery.......at only 45,000 miles! I changed it, & now just a few weeks later the light just popped back up along with the check engine light. Anyone have any thoughts here? I'm guessing it's a non-warranty issue? Thanks!

If there was an issue, it would be covered under the 3yr/36k mile warranty, and you're past that mileage at 45k. I'd still go to the dealer and make sure there isn't an excessive power draw.

Depending on the length of time he owned the Jeep and the climate, 45,000 miles may not be abnormal. If he replaced the original battery with a non-AGM battery then it is no surprise that it failed quickly.

But since he hasn’t been back since he first posted he won’t have seen these responses.
