Residents Enjoy April Fools Day at Treemont

"We want to play innocent jokes on our residents and have chosen a few that are harmless," says Activities Director Aimee Dubuisson. These include:

• Posting signs that say "Treemont Retirement Community is offering a $250 discount from your rent in the month of April if you agree to a Corporate Tattoo on your arm.   Sign up at the front desk."   When they get to the front desk, they're given a sticker saying Happy April Fools Day.

• Food Servcie Director James has been provided a few "food" jokes he can play on the residents such as  a "glass of juice" with a straw in it, but it's really Jello. Also, a spaghetti tree, which is an inside joke. Our previous Food Service Director seemed to serve some sort of pasta EVERY DAY. Ellen Hunt was famously quoted as saying "I'll be SO GLAD when the Spaghetti tree dies." Everyone knows she said that so the spaghetti tree will be a real scream.  
  
  

Hopefully, those we hang the door-hangers on will get a kick out of it. The ones who want to sign up for a tatoo will get an Easter Egg with chocolates inside - - those getting the "Golden Carrot" in their egg will get a lighted butterfly that strobes - - just picked those up at the $1 store.
