No, we're flying intoOrlando, renting a car, and staying in Orlando. Where can I get boiled peanuts in the Orlando area?

There used to be stands along the side of the road but I haven't seen any lately. I have seen stands for gator jerky...suppose that doesn't help you though.
Farmers Markets may have them.

Most of the big fruit stands will have them! Especially the ones off the interstates! Some gas stations have them, but I would question the freshness!
How is it that someone from Vermont knows about boiled peanuts! They are so southern!

Boiled peanuts are GREAT!
Easy to make at home too.
- Get RAW pnuts. Not precooked, or roasted, not salted etc, plain raw.
- Fill up a 3-4 quart slowcooker/crock pot about half way with the pnuts.
- Fill the rest of the way with water.
- Add salt. When you think there is enough, add more. About a full cup of salt, or more or less to taste.
- Cook on low. Stir occasionally. They float at first. But don't worry, they will sink after a while. Add water and salt as necessary.
They are pretty much ready after 24 hours or so. I turn it off when I leave the house, turn it back on when I get home (paranoid).
They are even softer after 3 days of cooking.
I cook them, and leave them in there for a week nibbling on them.
I don't know where inOrlando to get raw peanuts. Grocery stores will sometimes have them, but usually not the good big ones. Anyone know?
