How to post video and picture together on facebook page

What is the value of adding images and video to your social media posts?

We know that visual content is 40 times more likely to be shared on social media than other types of content. Likewise, video posts have 50 percent greater organic reach than posts with text or links only. Time and again, statistics show us that posts with relevant, visual content receive more views and higher engagement than those without.Today we’re happy to share how you can make the most of your social media efforts in just a couple of clicks within Hootsuite.

We’ll walk you through step-by-step instructions on how to:

  • Attach images and video to Facebook posts in your Hootsuite dashboard

  • Schedule and publish video and images

Composing a message with a video attached for Facebook is the same as composing any message within the Hootsuite dashboard. First, select the Facebook Page or profile you’d like to publish the message on and include your message in the ‘Compose message’ box.

To attach your video or image, select the paperclip icon in the bottom corner of your ‘Compose message’ box.

A drop-down section will appear that allows you to either drag and drop the video or image or select the file to upload. Where applicable, users with access to a shared Content Library can select videos from their bank of shared content.

Once attached, you can select or upload a thumbnail image to appear in your Facebook message. This is also where you can update your video’s metadata to include a title and category, such as entertainment.

How to schedule and publish images and video to Facebook

With your video or image attached, your Facebook Page or profile selected, and message composed, it’s time to schedule the post for later or publish it immediately. To publish right away, simply select the ‘Send Now’ button.

To schedule your message, simply select the calendar icon next to the paperclip. A drop-down menu will allow you to AutoSchedule your message for an optimal time, or to select your preferred time and date. Hit the ‘Schedule’ button to confirm.

You can easily manage your Facebook video posts along with any other Facebook content in your Hootsuite Streams for Publisher and Scheduled Messages.
