About The Ford F350

Vehicle Summary

Since becoming available for sale in 1999, the Ford F350 and its siblings in the F-Series Super Duty family have been some of the most capable entries in Ford's truck line-up. The fourth generation (2017–present) saw a complete redesign of the F350, making use of a 95% high-strength steel frame and the same aluminum alloy body panels used in the smaller F150 to cut weight. Third-generation Ford F350s (2011–2016) use steel body panels on a fully boxed frame. For the 2017 and newer F350, Ford pairs the all-new 6.2L gas V8 and 6.7L turbodiesel V8 engines with a new six-speed transmission.

Reviews for Ford F350

Overall Rating

4.7 out of 5 (21 reviews)

My research on future vehicles starts a minimum of 1 year out but so many changes, it doesn't go past 3 years. This truck an awesome vehicle and if someone is looking for a great deal, this 2012 F350 is it (but you can't have mine). Prior vehicle was a 2004 Nissan Titan SE - a great truck but this one is so much better.

Pros

  • Reliability: Its one of the main reasons for buying this vehicle.
  • Power: Probably should be first on my list. This truck is torque and power!
  • Seat Comfort: Most confortable seat I've ever sat in.

Great truck, good price, simple purchase, drives like much smaller vehicle. Newer 6.7L PowerStroke is a dream compared to others I've had, and quieter in the cab. Pulls all my trailers effortlessly. Great interior with all the latest tech toys (remote start, backup camera, cooled seats, Bluetooth, media center, etc.).

Pros

  • Styling: Looks great, very comfortable, well built in and out
  • Seat Comfort: Lived far too long without adjustable lumbar and heated/cooled seats and remote start
  • Power: Tows like a dream

Cons

  • Cost to Maintain: 6.7L PowerStroke has additional maint items compared to others, but expected in a larger vehicle (dual fuel filters, large oil and coolant quantities, etc.)
  • Fuel Economy: Avg 15mpg city, 20-22highway, but its a big and heavy truck.
  • Ride and Handling: While it drives like a car, solid beam front and rear axles and stiff suspension will make you feel more bumps on the road, but not nearly as much as the dually version

- Pat C., 2012 Ford F350

Great one ton Ford truck I use the truck for towing my fifth wheel it has plenty of power and plenty of room no problem Towing the fifth wheel. The only thing I don't like about the truck is the additive that you have to use because it's a diesel. But that's the way on you diesel trucks are wonderful truck no regrets

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: It handles like a dream
  • Power: Has plenty of power to tow my fifth wheel

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: Use a truck to tow my fifth wheel and I would get for gas mileage no matter what kind of truck I would use
